How it works

Step 1 — Book and pay

Click the button above. Tell me your parent’s name, their relationship to you, what kind of phone they have (iPhone or Android), and a good time for a call. I’ll send you a Stripe payment link for $29.

Step 2 — Schedule the call

After payment, I’ll email you within 24 hours with a link to pick a 30-minute slot that works for you (and your parent, if you want them on the call).

Step 3 — The call

We get on a video call. You tell me the contacts, medicines, and trusted people. I do the configuring. Your parent watches and learns — or you record the call so they can rewatch later.

That’s it. Within 30 minutes, Buddy is set up and your parent has a phone they can actually use.


Who this is for

What if my parent isn’t on the call?

Two options. Most people pick option 2.

Option 1 — You and me, no parent. You tell me the contacts, medicines, and trusted people. I configure everything. You then walk your parent through it (or send them the screen recording I make). Best for parents who don’t do well on video calls.

Option 2 — You, your parent, and me. We all get on the call together. I do the configuring, your parent sees how it works, you handle any questions they have. Most parents learn Buddy by watching us set it up. This is the option that prevents the most follow-up confusion.

What phones does this work with?

If your parent’s phone is older, I’ll let you know before booking.

What languages does Buddy support?

Buddy currently runs in 7 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazilian), Chinese (Simplified), and Finnish.

If your parent is more comfortable in Spanish, French, or any of the others, Buddy will automatically be in their language. I’ll set that up during the call.

What if my parent is reluctant?

This is the most common concern. A few things that help:

  1. Frame it as “your kids set this up for you” — not “you need to learn this app.” The setup is done by me, not by them.
  2. Show them the screen recording afterward. Most reluctant parents become enthusiastic users once they see how simple it is.
  3. Start with one feature. If they only ever use the “Call my daughter” button, that’s a huge win.

If your parent outright refuses, the setup call isn’t going to help. I’ll refund the $29 if that’s the case — no questions.
